lured in by the lovely way you keep showing up in mystery

To amuse myself, I took a TV meme from [livejournal.com profile] citibyrd.

Name a TV show in which you have seen every episode at least twice:
Avatar: The Last Airbender. Up until I stopped watching How I Met Your Mother, I could have said this for that, too.

Name a (current) show you can't miss:
Well, I don't watch anything as it airs because I have no TV, but I make sure to very quickly watch new episodes of 30 Rock, Community, Modern Family, and American Idol (hush now).

Name an actor that would make you more inclined to watch a show:
Neil Patrick Harris!

Name an actor who would make you less likely to watch a show:
Oh, I don't know. I'm bad at thinking of people I don't like.

Name a show you can, and do, quote from:
So many. So, so many. How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock, Community, Modern Family, The I.T. Crowd, Lovespring International, The Office...

Name a show you like that no one else enjoys:
Well, most people I talk to say they only enjoy the audition episodes of Idol, when those are always my least favorite part of every season.

Name a TV show which you've been known to sing the theme song:
Half the reason Miles and I watch TV shows is to sing the themes. How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock, and The Office are our favorites. Doctor Who is fun to whistle along to.

Name a show you would recommend everyone to watch:
Avatar: The Last Airbender. Also, 30 Rock.

Name a TV series you own:
On DVD? Firefly and Avatar: The Last Airbender.

What is your favourite episode of your favourite series?
Yikes, this is a difficult one. I don't know what my favorite series even is. I'll just say that MILF Island, from S2 of 30 Rock, is brilliant.

A show you mean to watch, but you just haven't gotten around to yet:
I have a Notepad document with over forty TV shows I want to watch sometime. Among these are Boston Legal, Psych, Babylon 5... endless variety!

Ever quit watching a show because it was so bad?
I've sort of stopped watching How I Met Your Mother. Apparently it's improved again, but I no longer have the heart.

Name a show you aren't interested in watching, not in the least:
Two and a Half Men. Because it's terrible.

Name a show that's made you cry multiple times:
Criminal Minds has definitely made me cry more than any other TV show ever has-- and I cry a lot at TV shows. Avatar also makes me cry pretty often whenever I watch it.

Oldest TV show you like?
Um... I used to be obsessed with Roseanne.

Newest TV show you like?
Community and Modern Family!

What do you eat when you watch TV?
Sometimes Goldfish or random junk food. Very occasionally we get chicken pot pies from the market and eat those while we watch.

How often do you watch TV?
Pretty much daily.

Do you have a favorite talk show?
Ellen is always the right answer to this question.

What's the last TV show you watched?
The Office.

What's your favourite/preferred genre of TV?
Dramas that are also comedies? Comedies that are also dramas?

What's your least favourite genre of TV?
Reality shows where the point is to manufacture drama and to make everyone involved look like a terrible person.

What was the first TV show you were obsessed with?
Probably Pokemon.

What TV show do you wish you never watched?
I used to watch Fear Factor a lot. Poor decision in retrospect.

What's the weirdest show you enjoyed?
Maybe Lovespring International?

What TV show scared you the most?
I guess probably Criminal Minds.

What is the funniest TV show you have ever watched?
30 Rock, because Tracy Morgan could do or say anything and it would be hilarious.

Which do you think is the best TV series ever made?
I am not knowledgeable enough for this question. I know the best TV show I know and love is Avatar.

Also, I am decreeing that there is meant to be a damn apostrophe in this stupid song title and I shall no longer make the poor apostrophe hide between parentheses. Sean Van Vleet, ihu.

Oh man, I totally went through a Fear Factor phase. I can't help but wonder why now.

I know, right? I don't even know. I guess it was morbidly fascinating, but I don't know if that's really enough. :|

I'm not going to do this whole meme, but:

Name a TV show which you've been known to sing the theme song:

Over your shoulder you know that I told you I'll always be picking you up when you're down, so just turn around. And that is all I have to say. :|

[identity profile] peridium.livejournal.com 2010-01-24 08:29 pm (UTC)(link)

(O HAI LOOK AT ME SNEAKING A LIBRARY COMPUTER)

What's your favourite/preferred genre of TV?
Dramas that are also comedies? Comedies that are also dramas?

I feel it may amuse you that the other day, Ned was saying "you know how when something's both a comedy and a drama, it's called a dramedy? It occurred to me... why don't they just call them 'commas'?"

So I will now be referring to that genre by that name because it is awesome.

[identity profile] peridium.livejournal.com 2010-01-26 01:16 am (UTC)(link)
COMMAS! That is a way better fake word. Because it's also a real word! I just could not bring myself to type "dramedies." It sounded too silly in my brain.
