PERHAPS I SHOULD POST.

I actually saw Half-Blood Prince at the midnight release a week ago, but whatever, it's never too late to spill my thoughts on it! Plus I'm going to see it again tonight with my parents, I believe, so it's appropriate.


-- I REALLY LOVED IT. I'm incredibly easy to please with the HP movies at this point, but I still loved it. It was so pretty. I wish the Burrow hadn't been randomly burned down and the quick tossed-in "sweetheart" to let us know about Remus/Tonks was just silly, but other than that.
-- In my very biased opinion, Draco was by far the best part of it. He was just so perfectly scared and trying so hard and failing anyway and generally being a spoiled sixteen-year-old asshole who suddenly has way more responsibility than he actually wanted. I love Tom Felton dearly just for making my favorite come across correctly.

-- The whole theater went "AWWWWWWWW!" really loudly at the Ron/Hermione bits. As they should have, because ♥
-- Harry/Ginny was actually fairly sweet! I enjoyed it! I do not think I will ever find that pairing interesting the way it got done in canon, but it was pleasantly cute in the movie with the absence of the chestmonster.
-- I could just be delusional, but I really think Dan has gotten much better at acting and that it showed this time around.
-- I cried a little after Dumbledore died. :(

Also, I signed up for and claimed a prompt for bandom_hc! It is the best prompt.

gerard and mikey are heirs-in-hiding of kingdom occupied by neighbours, and the rest of mcr/brian are their knights/vassals etc. after period of depression gerard rises a rebellion against invaders, loses, gets captured, imprisoned and awfully tortured for a year until the rest of mcr manage to save him and bring him to loyal healers (panic?). long rehabilitation ensues :D

I've written about 2500 words so far and I'm enjoying it thoroughly.

Totally unrelated: which was the one with the double reverse Mosby? I hope I'm remembering that right... I saw it on TV a million billion years ago, possibly the night it actually originally aired. Where Robin realizes she likes Barney and Barney finally comes clean to her so she Mosby's him! And then he Mosby's her! And I think the actual Mosby winds up in the hospital because of Missy the goat, which would make it Ted's 31st birthday party? And then they're just like, OK, let's be awesome.

IL IT TOO! :DDDD There's going to be a little bit of romance because Frank is the ~scrappy~ little knight who's hopelessly devoted to his BFF Mikey and the future king he's semi-secretly in love with (Gerard). And Bob/Mikey might be accidentally on-the-sidelines happening too without my consent. BUT ANYWAY! Bob is their SPY in the invading court who brings them information and stuff and Ray is the servant who was assigned to take care of them since Gerard and he were both five years old.

Pincers! Clicking noises! That entire scene may have been my favorite part of the movie. I...don't find Harry/Ginny interesting at all but that whole ~let me tie your shoe for you Harry~~~ bit was hilarious to me, probably unintentionally.

They turned down Harry's gay obsession with Draco maybe a bit more than I'd like but yes Tom Felton nailed it so perfectly.
